Using the project method in teaching of vocational subjects for haidressers

The Bachelor thesis deals with project teaching on secodary school. It is focused on vocational subjects of apprenticeship Hairdresser. Realized project can bring near reality of real life and help to prepare for future job.The Bachelor thesis consist of two parts, teoretical and practical. Teoretical part includes information about project teaching from professional literature. Practical part includes realized specific project, which connects vocational subjects and professional training.

Teaching aids for teaching vocational subjects

Modern as well as classical teaching aids greatly support and strengthen the teaching practice while encouraging students to take an active part in the learning activity within the classroom, thus contributing to a higher degree of mastering the subject matter. Integration of teaching aids in teaching vocational subjects not only enables effective and precise teaching, but it also allows the students to acquire their knowledge and practical skills. The theoretical part of this thesis presents an overview, description and comparison of various teaching materials suitable for teaching technical subjects, which are currently the most integrated teaching methods in vocational studies. In addition, the review of literature discusses the history of education and formation of teaching aids. The practical part, which has been conducted in a participating educational institution, elaborates on the questionnaire survey conducted amongst students who are currently in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the three-year program. The questionnaire is focused on obtaining relevant information from the students on how they evaluate the benefits and effectiveness of the teaching aids during the theoretical lesson which takes place prior to the practical training. The results of this thesis can be beneficial in terms of streamlining the theoretical teaching of vocational subjects that are important for students before the start of their practical training.

Education with multimedia technologies utilization

This paper deals with the possible use of multimedia technology in education. In the theoretical part, the educational process and its phases are discussed. Also students´ motivation to learn and teaching aids to encourage it are addressed. Focus is on the use of modern technologies, their advantages and disadvantages. Creation of eduactional video and its use in education, particularly in specialist subjects at vocational schools and colleges is alaborated on.
The practical part of this paper is divided into two parts. Part A is focused on qualities of educational video suitable for use in chef vocational school. Eight short videos introducing professional kitchen equipment were produced.
In part B, the videos were qualitatively tested. Research was carried out between students from first to second year of vocational school of gastronomy and business in Prague. Students were interviewed after watching the videos. The aim of the research was to test whether students consider educational videos beneficial and understandable

Způsoby motivace žáků ve výuce biologie na vybrané střední odborné škole

The aim of the bachelor thesis 'Students motivation in teaching of vocational subjects' is processing the theoretical part, which is based on literature, that is illustrated by the concept of motivation and methods that can be used in the classroom. In the practical part, the survey by pupils at first and second classes on selected secondary schools was performed. The questionnaire is designed to detect the use of motivation of teachers within two hours of Biology. For the research survey was elected questionnaire, that was directed to students to express their perceptions of teacher motivation. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire was drawn up a comparison of two teachers depending on their motivational activities. Based on the results of the present work was the development of recommendations for the teaching practice.
